CARE ABOUT HEALTHY POPULATION AND KEEP IT HEALTHY
GOAL 1. : EDUCATION
Health education of the whole population/ prevention of malign
diseases, fight against smoking, alcoholism, drug abuse, AIDS,
care for and prevention of he environment.
GOAL 2. : PREVENTION AND EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF MALIGN DISEASES OF
RURAL WOMAN – program Healthy Woman (Zdravka) examined 1979
women, 25% were diagnosed to continue with examinations, 1.5%
were
operated on, and 1% (20 women) were operated from malign disease
in early stage.
GOAL 3. : CARE OF PATIENTS TREATED OF EARLIER MALIGN DISEASES
Club of Women operated and treated of breast cancer has 95
members ( Section NADA , HOPE, established in 1989).
“ Stoma Center”-Section of both men and women treated of Cancer
of Colon, established in 2002, has 45 members.
And Section for Healthy Food “Nutritia”- established in 2003,
has 130 members. The Society has 50 very active volunteers and
450 members altogether.
Our achievements in 2003
• 117 actions – every third day we were doing some actions with
our women
• 39 times we were written or spoken about in the media
• 7 expert meetings / workshops related with disease prevention
for health workers in Sombor
• We presented our work at 4 expert meetings in our country
• We established contact with a Swiss Anti Cancer Society
• 18 regular meeting of Stoma Section
• 25 regular meeting of Nada Section (HOPE)
• 350 schoolchildren were awarded for participation at artistic
and literary contests
• Established and awarded golden and silver NET to our
supporters, sponsors and lecturers
• Obtained technical equipment (laptop and video beam) through
donations
• Created website and e-mail address
• Joined NGO Networks
• ZDRAVKA campaign and large scale medical screening
• Women’s Health in Reproductive Stage – Risk factors
• Lectures on proper nutrition
• Campaign “The Water We Drink” study in villages
• Discussion on environmental issues related to diseases
• Latest medical achievements in cancer prevention expert
meetings
• Art Contest in schools (right to childhood without drugs,
alcohol and smoke)
